Jaco, Costa Rica,
(Pronounced in English as Ha-co)
(which means "horse", and is know by
locals as "The city of surf")is a
coastal city in
Costa Rica's
Puntarenas
province, located in the Central
Pacific Region, on the shores of the
Pacific Ocean.
Jacó is approximately 1 hour and 30
minutes from
San José
and one hour North of Manuel Antonio
National Park. As a result of its
location as one of the closest beaches
to the Central Valley and its location
in relation to Manuel Antonio, Jaco
has become a very popular tourist
destination for not only native Costa
Ricans but also foreign travellers. |
